Narus Will Moderate a Panel of Industry and Government SME's and Lead a Discussion on Their Most Pressing Cyber Technology Technological Needs


WHAT:             Narus, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company and the leader in real-time traffic intelligence, announced today that it will present at the SINET Showcase 2011 Conference held October 25-26, 2011 in Washington, DC. Supported by the Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate and public private sponsorships, the SINET Showcase will bridge the gaps between innovative early stage and emerging IT security solution providers and representatives from the system integration, industry and Federal Government communities to defeat global cyber security threats. As part of this, Greg Oslan, Narus Acting Vice President & General Manager Cyber Solutions, ISS BNSS, Boeing Chief Executive Officer & President, Narus, will moderate a panel entitled “Panel of Industry & Government SME's on Their Most Pressing Cyber Security Technological Needs.”

Panelists include:
Robert Bigman, Chief, Information Assurance Group, Central Intelligence Agency
Richard Hale, Deputy Chief Information Officer for Identity and Information Assurance, Department of Defense
John Jolly, Vice President & General Manager, Cyber Division, General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems

Held October 26 at 10:25 a.m., Mr. Oslan, along with a panel of industry and government experts, will provide deep insight and exploration into the increasingly sophisticated types of cyber attacks on industry and government networks and how they continue to cost billions of dollars in intellectual property theft yearly, compromise national security, and make every user vulnerable. The panel will also look at zero-day exploits, advanced persistent threats, exfiltrations and intrusions, a few of the types of attacks that are leveraging social networking, network design and operational deficiencies and the complexity and structure of organizations.

Attendees will learn about the panel’s most pressing technological needs and their thoughts on the various approaches and solutions, and discuss what countries must do to support the efforts.
