Narus works closely with prominent academics to address the issues of providing effective dynamic network traffic intelligence and analytics in order to map the digital DNA (or behavior) of the network. The research projects focus on developing innovative technology for detecting patterns and anomalies which can predict and identify security issues, misusing network resources; identifying suspicious or criminal activity, and other events which can compromise the integrity of IP networks.

Narus Research Fellows comprise renowned researchers from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, University of Minnesota, University of Florida, Northwestern University, University of California Berkeley, University of California Santa Barbara, Rutgers University, University of Toronto, University of California Riverside, Michigan State University, Politecnico di Torino among several others.

In cooperation with the Narus Advancted Technology Team, the Narus Research Fellows are jointly researching, benchmarking and enhancing architecture, performance and current capabilities of the umbrella NarusInsight product and the accompanying NarusInsight solutions. This enables Narus to deliver the most innovative and complete solutions to satisfy customers' current and future needs for dynamic network traffic intelligence solutions. The combination of next-generation algorithms and Narus' highly scalable systems provide data carriers (wired and wireless) the total network view to analyze the traffic and to take action against even the most complex attacks on their infrastructure/resources.
