Executive Team

 

SALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:

Greg Oslan, Chief Executive Officer and President

Greg Oslan brings to Narus a strong history of executive and managerial success. He also has a strong background in raising capital and consulting for growth companies. Prior to joining Narus, Greg was president and chief executive officer for Wireless Online, a provider of smart antenna solutions to the wireless industry. Earlier, he served as president and chief operating officer for CNET, Inc., a wireless operational support system company, where he effectively executed a turnaround strategy and acquisition. During his ten years with Ameritech Corporation, Greg was the director of wireless data marketing and director of business development for Ameritech Mobile Communications and held other management roles within the Ameritech Bell Group. He began his career with AT&T. Greg has consulted to many companies over the years successfully leading several through capital raising, restructuring, and divestitures. He also started an early stage venture capital fund in Dallas in 1998.

Greg earned his master’s degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and completed his bachelor’s degree in quantitative business analysis from Indiana University.

 

Christina Dupre, Vice President, Business Development

Christina Dupre brings to Narus a strong management background in the data and telecommunications sectors in sales, marketing and corporate development. Prior to joining the company, Christina was part of the original founding team of ICG Communications, a competitive local exchange carrier in Denver and also worked for Ziff Davis and JP Mobile. She also founded All Access Capital (AAC), LLC, which assisted early and mid-stage technology companies in raising capital and building strategic plans to address new markets. Concurrent to operating AAC, Christina held a board and advisory position at Interactive Wireless Company.

Christina graduated from Menlo College in California with a joint bachelor’s degree in business administration and business law.

 

James Mullins, Vice President, Sales and Services, EMEA

James Mullins has more than 15 years of sales and management experience within the telecommunications and high technology industries. Prior to joining Narus, James held senior positions at Architel Systems, Portal Software and most recently CH2M Hill, where he directed the sales strategy of their Technology Integration Division. Throughout his career, James has established and grown sales teams and led them to achieve significant customer wins in operators throughout EMEA.

 

Steve Possino, Vice President, Sales and Services, Americas

Steve Possino brings to Narus nearly two decades of experience in complex communications software and hardware sales. Most recently, he was vice president of sales, Americas for Convergys Corporation. At Convergys, Steve increased market share by expanding into non-traditional markets such as digital content management and finance. As vice president of North America sales for Geneva Technology (acquired by Convergys), he developed and directed the North America sales strategy, resulting in customer wins with companies such as Disney, Dynegy, HP-Compaq, Brazil Telecom and Alltel. Steve’s executive experience also includes various vice president positions for LHS and Unisys and he is currently on the board of advisors for Edocs.

Steve has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Miami.

 

Dr. Weiming Li, Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific

Dr. Weiming Li brings over 15 years of experience in the IT and telecom industry, especially in sales of complex software systems and consulting services to leading customers in the Asia Pacific region.

Before joining Narus, Weiming was the vice president of sales, APAC Division of Amdocs, a leading software vendor for billing and customer management solutions specifically targeting the telecommunications market. He was instrumental in establishing and expanding the Amdocs brand and its customer base in Asia Pacific. Under his leadership, the Amdocs sales team achieved significant growth by winning major accounts in Asia Pacific such as FarEasTone, Telstra, Maxis, Thai Mobile, Reliance and Astro. Weiming won consecutive sales awards from Amdocs, in recognition of his strong leadership and track record in sales, his understanding of the APAC market/cultural differences as well as his extensive customer contacts and connections at the senior level throughout the region.

Prior to Amdocs, Weiming was the vice president and general manager of eBusiness Solutions of Nortel Networks. In addition to achieving steady growth in sales revenue under very tough economic conditions, Weiming established strategic alliances with major system integration companies such as Accenture, CGEY, IBM and HP as well as other channel partners.

Before Nortel, Weiming was the founder and CEO of Info Power (Aust) Pty Ltd., a consulting company delivering IT business solutions to small and medium enterprises in Australia.

Weiming is a graduate of East China Normal University with a Bachelor of Science degree, and holds a Master's degree and Ph.D. from the University of New South Wales in Australia.

 

James W. Wasnick, Vice President, Worldwide Program Management

James W. Wasnick brings to Narus over 18 years of extensive software development and systems implementation experience with telecommunications providers. Previously, James held a senior IT leadership position for Wiltel, where he was responsible for all IP business related systems development and implementation. Additionally, James was founder of systems integrator, Frederick Hamilton Rhys Management Group, and a senior manager for BearingPoint Consulting in the telecommunications and e-commerce industries. He has also held various senior management positions with IBM Global Services, Cingular and Verizon Wireless.

James holds a master’s degree in business administration from Seton Hall University and a bachelor’s degree from Montclair State University, both in New Jersey.

 

MARKETING:

Steve Bannerman, Vice President, Marketing

Steve Bannerman brings to Narus over twenty years of experience in sales and marketing in the technology industry. Prior to joining Narus, Mr. Bannerman served as Chief Marketing Officer and General Manager at Tarantella, Inc. where he architected a global product, brand and marketing strategy that resulted in an acquisition by Sun Microsystems.

Before joining Tarantella, Steve was the Founder and CEO of Caststream, Inc. Steve successfully crafted a sales and marketing strategy that led to enterprise implementations by such notable customers as British Telecom, Adobe Systems, Cornell University, Stanford University and The Mayo Clinic. Steve led the acquisition of Caststream by Tarantella, Inc in 2003.

Steve spent over 12 years at Apple, in several senior marketing roles, most recently Director of Marketing for QuickTime TV (QTV). Steve developed a revenue-producing business model for Apple’s streaming media network, with over 100 top-tier content providers, including Disney, CNN, MTV, BBC, ESPN and Warner Music.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from Georgia Tech.

 

Jay Thomas, Vice President, Product Marketing

Jay Thomas brings to Narus an extensive background in telecommunications, with vast experience in development, technology, technical marketing, and alliances. He began his career as an engineer for a major carrier in the development of telecommunications digital carrier equipment. Later, Jay joined ROLM/IBM/Siemens, where he was responsible for leading numerous successful projects as vice president of messaging development and vice president of technology. Most recently, Jay provided consulting services for several start-ups, helping companies differentiate themselves by bridging their technology knowledge to business value and opportunity.

Jay has a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Santa Clara University in California and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He holds five technology patents and is an elected school board member in his community.

 

TECHNICAL:

Dr. Antonio Nucci, Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Antonio Nucci brings a distinguished career in IT to Narus. Prior to joining Narus, Antonio was employed by Sprint as a researcher scientist and later promoted to principal member of the technical staff. While at Sprint, he led several projects in the area of Internet Traffic Analysis and Modeling, Passive and Active Measurements, Traffic Matrix Estimation, Routing Protocol Evaluation, Anomaly Detection and Wireless Traffic Characterization. While there, he prototyped five software tools and filed 12 patent applications.

In his career, Antonio has published more than 30 papers for international conferences and professional journals, served on several Technical Program Committees (IEEE Infocom 2005/2006, ACM Sigmetrics 2005, IP-QoS 2005, LSNI 2005), and was referee for more than 130 papers from five different professional journals and 10 international conferences. He is a member of the IEEE where he was elected to the grade of Senior for contributions in the area of modeling and analysis of network performance.

Antonio received the Dr. Ing (B.S. and M.S.) and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino. He was also a scholar visitor at the Computer Science Department of the University of Montreal leading a project in optical networks.

 

Muralidhar Sitaram, Vice President Worldwide Engineering

Muralidhar Sitaram has more than 17 years of product delivery experience across the spectrum of product development functions. He was most recently the Vice President of Research & Development at Aspect Communications and before that at Avaya, Inc. where he managed a team of 500 employees across seven sites with an approximate annual budget of $90M.

Muralidhar has an established record of creating, structuring, evolving and leading large teams of software professionals and possesses an advanced understanding of high-end enterprise software, and IP-related markets. Sitaram's executive experience also includes positions with Quintus Corporation where he was the Senior VP of Product Management & Engineering.

Muralidhar holds a Masters in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio and two bachelor degrees from the University of Bombay, one in Computer Engineering and the other a double major in Physics and Science.
