IBM and Narus Deliver Integrated Applications to Global Service Providers
Narus Enables Telcos to Capture IP Data in Real-Time While Running IBM Business Solutions
December 9, 2004, Mountain View, CA — Narus, Inc., the leading carrier-class IP platform software provider, today announced it has joined IBM’s PartnerWorld Industry Network (PWIN). This partnership will enable the Narus IP Platform and IP configurations to run on IBM hardware and software and have access to data in real-time to solve IP application needs. This interoperability provides carriers with the ability to leverage IBM’s proven middleware capabilities and Narus’ IP capture and processing expertise to enable applications which are necessary to manage and maintain reliable, secure and profitable networks.
IBM’s PWIN allows leading Independent Software Vendors to provide their customers with the ability to interoperate with IBM’s vertical on-demand solutions. By joining IBM’s network, Narus’ Carrier-Class customers using IBM’s middleware to run applications now will be able to simultaneously operate Narus’ IP Platform and IP configurations.
Combined with Narus, IBM can more effectively offer carriers worldwide applications across the major functions of the network such as Security, Analysis, IP Monitoring, and Mediation. The Narus IP Platform captures and correlates IP data in real-time that is flowing through multiple network layers, providing a total network view of all critical IP assets.
