Narus Traffic Anomaly Detection, NarusView, NarusForensics, NarusLI Now Available
London, April 1, 2005Narus, Inc., the world’s leading Carrier-Class IP Platform software provider, today announced the worldwide availability of four new products that run on the Narus IP Platform: NarusView TM, Narus Traffic Anomaly Detection, NarusLI® (Lawful Intercept) and NarusForensics®.
In response to demand from European customers who seek real-time visibility into their network traffic, Narus is introducing their new products in EMEA. Without real-time awareness Carriers are left to guess at customer needs and generalize trends, often resulting in slow reactions. Narus provides a “Total Network View™” using a single Narus IP Platform to capture and analyze IP traffic in real time across their entire IP network. Carriers are able to run either a single application or as many applications as needed to provide a more responsive level of service and functionality to their customers than has ever been possible before.
“It is clear that Carriers are focusing on real-time visibility in order to respond quickly to customer needs.” said Jay Thomas, vice president of product marketing at Narus, Inc. “With Narus, it is now easy for Carriers to have the full visibility of their IP Networks required to provide the quality of service their customers expect.”
The network agnostic, and highly scalable, Narus IP Platform works on both wireline and wireless networks. The products now available worldwide are:
NarusView is the first product to provide a Total Network View™, allowing Carriers to see all their IP network traffic, analyze customer access for market research, and view traffic anomalies in real time. NarusView features real-time Traffic Analysis Screens, a real-time display of IP network traffic metrics and dimensions revealing traffic and customer usage; Multiple Reporting Options that include bar charts, time legends, relationship mapping and geographic mapping; plus Click-to-Drill Analysis capabilities.
Narus Traffic Anomaly Detection uses traffic-aware analytics to identify anomalies and threats across an entire IP network. By being layer 7 protocol-aware, anomalies in different data streams such as VoIP, Streaming Video, HTTP and DNS, can be detected and reported.
Narus’ Lawful Intercept (NarusLI) brings Carriers into compliance with Lawful Intercept standards. Like all Narus products, it is network, vendor and type agnostic. NarusLI cost-effectively complies with lawful intercept regulations around the world on a single Narus IP Platform that can be scaled for multiple applications including, Traffic Anomaly Detection and Analysis, Billing Mediation and VoIP analysis.
Narus Forensics provides session reconstruction including HTTP traffic, VoIP traffic, instant messaging, and e-mail reconstruction. Network operators can use Narus Forensics to visualize captured data exactly as it was sent or received, thereby being able to eliminate unnecessary downtime and provide a level of customer service above that of the competition.
