Narus Empowers Carriers to Assess VoIP Traffic and Realize Revenue

Mountain View, Calif.—July 25, 2005—Narus, Inc., the world’s leading provider of unified IP Management and Security, today announced an enhanced offering targeted to help global carriers understand and address the impact of VoIP traffic on their business. Analysts estimate that between 8 and 25 percent of the traditional network calling traffic is being bypassed with VoIP such as Skype, a proprietary, third-party VoIP service. With 150,000 new Skype users per day, the core business of traditional telephony providers is being threatened. The Narus IP Platform provides a total network view of all IP data in a carrier’s network, including all VoIP traffic and protocols.
