Industry Veteran Lends Marketing Acumen to Drive Strategy and Continued Growth
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.—November 29, 2005—Narus, Inc. today announced the appointment of industry veteran Steve Bannerman as vice president of marketing. With more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing in the technology industry, Bannerman will drive Narus’ brand and global marketing programs.
Prior to joining Narus, Bannerman was the founder and chief executive officer of Caststream, Inc., developer of the award-winning cast:stream enterprise e-learning and presentation broadcasting software. He led the acquisition of Caststream by Tarantella, Inc. in 2003. Following the acquisition of Tarantella, Bannerman was appointed chief marketing officer and general manager. In this role, he architected a global product, brand and marketing strategy that resulted in an acquisition by Sun Microsystems.
Bannerman also spent 12 years at Apple in various senior marketing positions, including director of marketing for QuickTime TV (QTV). In this role, he developed a revenue-producing business model for Apple’s streaming media network, with more than 100 top-tier content providers, including Disney, CNN, MTV, BBC, ESPN and Warner Music.
